Subject: How Do I Know If My Site Is Registered?
Forgive this basic question, but after you have submitted
your site (eg your home page) to a search engine what is the best way to check that you
have in fact been registered ?
Robin, To manually do it... AltaVista In the search box,
enter host:yourname ie: host:howtointernet.com
Infoseek Select Advanced Search, then choose URL must
contain the phrase enter your URL, i.e. howtointernet.com
For additional info on how to find who is linking to you,
and if you are listed, go to my web site http://www.howtointernet.com and select from the
left hand nav bar SEARCH ENGINE TIPS & SECRETS
